Do you think you are ready for your own horse? Experience what it’s like at our horse ready camp! Students will be assigned a horse for the week and will be responsible for feeding, watering, stall cleaning, turn-out, grooming, and riding. Participants will also learn what to do in real-life emergency situations as well as cover other areas of horse ownership. New riding skills include learning how to and/or improving the canter, getting the correct lead, riding without stirrups, and performing patterns. This camp is for
intermediate level riders and above only. An intermediate rider is a student who has been taking lessons for at least a year and knows how to lead a horse, groom, and tack on his/her own. These students should also be able to ride with great
control at a walk and trot as well as have some experience at the canter. If you are unsure of your riding level please call the barn for an evaluation lesson. Parents are invited to watch the students participate in a horse show the final day
of camp!
